“HOW CAN I HELP SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT AND STILL ENJOY FRESHLY CHILLED AND FILTERED DRINKING WATER?”

We all recognise the importance of keeping fully hydrated throughout the day, and have come to take for granted the convenience of having chilled water coolers at the office, the gym, in fact, everywhere we go, but have you ever stopped to think of the environmental impact of all those plastic water bottles that are used in conjunction with the “non plumbed” coolers out there?

The main areas of concern are...

(a) The environmental impact of water bottle transportation.

The 1.9 litre bottles of water usually supplied with standard water coolers are incredibly heavy, just imagine the carbon emissions associated with the transportation of all the bottles of water that are delivered across the country every day. To compound the matter, some suppliers operate a delivery system whereby customers are visited on a regular basis, and water bottles are only left if their stocks are low. This means that heavy bottles of water can often make several trips to and from supplier and customer before eventually being delivered.

And...

(b) What happens to all the plastic bottles when they become scuffed and worn out?

We know that the plastic bottles are reused several times but inevitably they need to be replaced as they become scratched , cracked or just have their labels damaged – which are often not cost effective to replace. The question is, although companies claim to recycle their bottles, “How many of the plastic water bottles are dumped in landfill sites every year?”

Therefore, we will only supply “plumbed in” coolers to help eliminate the unavoidable environmental issues that result from water bottle deliveries.

RECYCLING OF PLASTIC CUPS AND CARDBOARD BOXES

We all know about global warming and the importance of doing our bit to ensure that there will still be a planet for our grandchildren to play on, so we have decided to do as much as we can to recycle, reuse and generally be “as good as gold” wherever possible. We will, for a very small charge, collect your used plastic cups and cardboard boxes for recycling. This will be done at the same time that we deliver your order, ‘cos it saves time and money as well as CO2 emissions.
